Sorry for the lack of updates. Things have been quite crazy around here. Being a newlywed, figuring out the job situation and everything else in life has made if hard to keep updated with everyone. I hope everyone forgives me!

Life has been moving along as normal. Fast and never slowing down. Keith and i are working on getting everything settled, but for the most part we are set up to host people. Last week Katie came by and yesterday Keith’s mom and Dennis came by (more on that later on Keith and I’s blog)

What else … what else… Not much.. i am sorry I wish i had all these fun updates that everyone would be SOOO excited over.. but man.. i just dont. It is work and church and work and cleaning up the house and all that boring stuff.

Recently Keith and I started watching the series “ Ghost Whisper” with Jennifer Love Hewitt. It is actually really good. We are on a kick where we can’t just watch ONLY ONE episode.

Also Congrats to my good friends Tom and Rachel. They got married on the 8th. They are a great couple and are doing some great work for the Lord. Pray for them as they start their new marraige.

They say that after you go to your next wedding…. you are no longer newlywed’s So sadly i guess Keith and I are just an old married couple now! But i love it! I love Keithy. yea!

it kind of freaks me out to think of how things in life have completely changed over this past year. I am not even talking about in my life, but more those around me. It is stange to sit here and think of my life over the past 5 years and see the changes in myself and in others. If you would have asked me five years ago i would have never of thought that i would be where i am today.

I am not saying this because i am thinking negatively. Things have changed for the good and for the bad. I hate how i so easily let people move out of my life. I feel like debbie downer tonight.

Today would of been Keith and I’s 5 years together. But we are married now so we are at 1 month hahaha i think it is so funny that now the clock starts over. I am excited for the next 5 years. I think it will bring many changes in life.

I am in a class called New Venture and in it we have to write a 30+ pages business plan. I decided to create a coffee shop in Kosova. Which is fun, but this is taking me soooooo much time. I would say i am 1/3rd of the way done... still lots to go.

Wednesday is normally my " school work day"... so for the record. it is 9:15 and i am set up in the kitchen in my spot. Got both my computers going and i am ready to go.

Let's see how long i am sitting in the SAME SPOT... last week was from about 10am-7pm hahhahaha

I love that my dad has a love for flowers and bushes and trees and everything that blooms in the spring. My dad planted tons of trees when they moved in 22 years ago and now they are so big and that huge limbs and the bushes are full of colorful flowers. The only down side is all the white petals that fall from the cherry trees, which cause a fight in my house every year.

I had to write an essay for school on leadership and I thought I would share- I am not the best writer... but whatever!!!

I have never envisioned myself as a leader. My image of a leader has always been someone who has all the answers, someone who never backs down, never gives up under any circumstance and someone who is able to grab the attention of everyone in a room. I believed for a very long time that I was always just a very good follower. I pride myself in always being ready to do what needs to be done and do it well, but I have never seen myself as the person that had to come up with that needs to be done and tell people to do it. Recently, I have been put to the test of leadership and it has been a struggle to believe that I have what it takes to be a successful leader.

For four years I have been involved in a plant church start. Passion Community Church was a dream of a husband and wife that has come to life over the past four years. I began helping out with the music ministry to provide quality worship for this new church. I had only planned to help for a few months since I was still in high school and the church was over an hour away from my house. Others began to leave as new people who were attending the church stepped up, but I began to feel that I needed to stay and continue molding this dream. My role has always been to help with the BGV’S (Back Ground Vocals). This position was fine with me. I enjoyed getting to help sing, but did not feel the pressure of having to be the one leading the band and leading the church.

My four years at Passion have been a time of shaping and molding, not only of the church, but also of myself. While every few months I would lead a Sunday here and a Sunday there, when our interim worship leader felt the call to move and lead worship at another church, the church leaders approached me to see if I wanted to step up into the role. I was weary of the offer. Of course my servant’s heart told me that they did not have anyone else and that I was most likely their only choice, but my fear of the leadership was holding me back from making my decision. I have always felt a fear of not knowing what to say or not being able to make people completely happy. I worry that I will not be able to do the best for the church or provide the kind of leadership necessary to make the worship team run smoothly.

On the last Sunday that the old worship pastor led he made a powerful statement that stuck with me: “It isn’t about your ability, it is about your availability.” I thought about what he said the rest of the day. I was open to what God wanted from my life and how he wanted to use me, but I had never thought that I had the ability to lead. 1^st peter 4:11 says “If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.” For so long I thought that I had to do things in my own strength and in my own strength I knew I would never have the ability to lead.

It has been two months since I was faced with the decision to step up and lead. I am happy to say that I decided to take the position, even though at times I feel that I am not good enough to hold it. Week after week I can see that I am improving and it is not from my strength, but that of God who week by week is providing me with the strength to step out on the edge and give him the praise through what he has done in my weakness. My favorite verse of the bible sums it up perfectly: 2^nd Corinthians 12:10That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

This past weekend Matt and I drove down to Jacksonville to see our family. We got going friday around 3, but hit the Atlanta Motor Speedway traffic so we didn't make as good of time as we would of liked.

The weekend was full of cards and family and fun. Around 11 pm Friday night my grandfather said "you guys ready for cards" We almost cracked up. When we finished our first game.. which i barely lost... grandpa was up for another, but we were super tired so we kept the cards for the morning

The next morning Meagan came over and my card domination had begun. I won 3 games in a row on saturday. My roll kept on going until Lauren Alex came over sunday night and caused my failure.... see below

We hit up the beach with all the cuz's on Sunday and built us a turtle sandcastle and some of us went skim boarding. I am pretty sure that we would of won some sort of competition with our sand castle.

Unfortunately the tide started coming in :-(

While down there, i had a "mini-shower" and i got some goodies from my family for the wedding

Well no trip to Florida would be a trip without grandma's animal pancakes-- here are some pictures below of this adventure hahah

Winter Storm 09'

Last Thursday my class met outside in the courtyard. The sun was shinning and the weather was absolutly perfect. I even said " this is my favorite weather"

Then the tempature started to get a little colder, but when the rain was pouring for 2 days and there was snow in the future i just could not imagine the fact that it would snow Sunday afternoon. I left for church with my flats... and no socks... and no jacket. When I came out of church there was snow accumulating and there was a snow ball fight in store.

The hours kept on moving by and the snow kept on coming and before i knew it the roads were covered and the temps kept dropping.

Athens lost power due to them being hit with over 6 inches of show-

I had to get to CVS to work.. which was closed in the morning due to power outages ---- check out the parking lot.. at 2 in the afternoon on monday:

Surely we all thought that school would be canceled the next day with freezing temps coming in Monday night... unfortunately Michael Adams had many a students very angry with the university's decision to keep the campus open. I had a mid-term at 8am so i made sure i was at campus at 7:30 to catch the bus

SIDE NOTE: Our place was out of power until 1am early Tuesday morning---- that means that our place was 51 DEGREEEEEES when the power finally came on...

ok so i am at school waiting on the buses and the time keeps on ticking by and well it was 8 on the watch by the 45th time i had looked at it... and the FIRST BUS arrived ... my mid-term stated at 8... i arrived at 8:20... there was ice everywhere and trees down. The crews were JUST putting down salt .. which is ridiculous... if i knew how to upload my mobile pictures i would show you how ridiculous the campus was. Classes should of never of started before 12:30--- arg... i was having MAJOR beef with the school that day.. as along with most students at UGA...

I seriously can not wait until i get to move to porterdale.

A day like today makes it even harder to wait these next 4 months.

It is so beautiful outside. We've got the windows open and the breeze & sound of the river are so peaceful.

My brother hooked Keith and I up with some great couches... all they needed were slip covers to cover up the BLUE color!

Keith searched and with failure were were worried that we would never find a size to fit. Out of the blue his aunt said that she had two and to our luck they fit perfectly! So we got 2 free couches and 2 free slip covers AHHHHHHHHHH

Sadie has already made her home on the smaller of the two ..

They are always filming cool movies in the porterdale area... Rob Zombie is about to move into the lofts while they film a new movie he will be in.

My mom always comes up with fun bible challenges for my family each year. A few years ago our whole family attempted to read through the bible. I think about 3 of us finished the whole thing and the others came very close. This year my family is doing the

I will admit that the first 2 weeks i was slow to get started even though each week's suggested verses only takes about 15 minutes.

By the end of the year you will read through Matthew, Proverbs and the first 45 chapters of Psalms.

Which when you look at it is a very small amount of the bible, but what a great way to challenge yourself to stay in the word. Not a huge overwhelming list of how to get through the bible in one year, but a way to be able to take an intense look at 3 books of the Bible.

Normally when i go to read a psalms i will just think of a random number and then read that. The first week had us read psalms 1... which normally i wouldn't of just picked for a random reading in the past and through the first two verses i already felt of it as a challenge to my life:

Book One

The Way of the Righteous and the Wicked

1:1 Blessed is the man
who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in the way of sinners,
nor sits in the seat of scoffers;
2 but his delight is in the law of the Lord,
and on his law he meditates day and night.

Things have been crazy. I started my last 5 classes of my college career and they are going to be super hard. I will have about 60 pages of papers to write. this stinks... my last semester was supposed to be easy.

I am trying to work on all the wedding details and be a good wife to be haha.

Finals time!

Yes!

This year i have 2 finals on Thursday and Two next tuesday. I am really hoping to pull out some bomb.com grades this semester, but i am having issues staying focused. It is already almost 2 pm on Tuesday and although my prep for my religion final is almost finished, my leadership class is worrying me.

My classes this semester have over all been pretty decent. I really enjoyed my religion and leadership classes. I am going to get to take another religion class next semester on Old Testament Prophecy so i am pretty stoked about that.

I guess just be praying for me over the next week. at about this same time next week i will be finished for the fall. I need to be planning for the wedding, working a ton and doing work for my online class all over the break, so i wouldn't call it much of a "Break"

I am trying to think of news... something funny... something to keep this post reading-worthy, but my life is quite boring at the moment.

Although i work for CVS and my brain only works when it comes to CVS, for my HR management class i was given the assignment to pick a company in crisis and do three different projects for that company. So i quickly decided to pick Rite Aid as my company to focus on for my project. My first paper was an action plan, the second was a plan for motivating the company and the third is a “best practices”

I dont even really know what a best practices is but you can look it up on Wikipedia if you want to!

My thought for a new idea was to change the logo and sales ad. Now by no means am i good at logos at all but here are a few that i came up with. Sara please have mercy on my horrible art soul.

This bottom one is pretty intense, but i was just messing around with the circle idea. I definately think i like the 1st one the best. What are your thoughts… which one should i use for my project?

I think i have “BRS”

It is a severe disease and quite frankly i am worried about it. It effects me at least 4 to 10 times a day and in reality it should only be a once every other day symptom.

The past few months at Passion, my church we’ve been talking about grace and peace. Going through Galatians and 1st peter.

Lately I have been feeling life getting more and more hectic and things annoy me more and more lately. Normally I pride myself in being a very -go with the flow- nothing gets to me- kind of person. But over the past 2 semesters of life the little things are getting to me. CONSTANTLY.

Maybe it is things in my personality that are changing or realizing that some people are not who I always thought they would be.

I have decided that giving advice is pretty pointless over the past 11 months of the year. It is one of those things taking me back to 10th grade when I thought that I could CHANGE people.

I learned that lesson the hard way. I try to put myself in peoples places and think that I know if someone was telling me something that I didn’t want to hear I would just blow it off too.

Keith is funny he always asks for my advice on things example:

Maybe instead of giving advice I should just tell people I will pray for them or maybe give them a bible verse. I don't know. It is just a frustrating process of almost feeling like “ did I even just say that”

I guess I am just feeling this lack of peace in my life and I keep going back to a bible verse that I memorized at the beginning of the year:

Ephesians 4 1-6

1As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when you were called— 5one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

Keep the unity of the spirit through the bond of peace. << I need to continually say this to myself each day. I am not sure why I am currently struggling with this issue of peace in my life. It is obviously a battle because I am not used to this feeling that has come over me this year.

Feel free to be praying for my peace and understanding with others. Sorry for this somber update.

I thought i would share about my adventure this afternoon.

I brought little Katie to school today like a good mother would on a rainy day. Upon picking her up a few hours later i quickly packed a rice crispy in a paper towel… bad idea… and was off to pick her up.

So i turned on to the road to pick kt up and in the rain took a turn a bit too narrow and popped up on the curb a bit. I thought to myself welp hit that curb. I did think to check my rim since I knew Keith would kill me if i scratched it up, but once I spotted kt and jessi I knew that i had to move quickly. So I pulled out and luckily no one was behind me because it took them WAY too long to get in the car.

So we start along heading towards lumpkin when i thought to myself that my steering wheel was moving to the right way too much. I thought maybe it was just how i had pulled out of the parking lot… but then i started to hear a scratching noise and saw peoples faces outside waiting at the bus stop.

So after finding a convenient place to park under an awning out of the rain this was what i walked out of the car to find:

To tell you the truth my first thought was … Keith is going to kill me hahaha We are not even married yet and i am worried about what he will think!!

Wait that is a lie.. my first thought was MAN there is way too much junk in my trunk to get the spare tire out..

I have changed a few tires in my day, but since this was the first time in my cobalt I asked kt to get out the manual just to make sure I didn’t screw anything else up

Kt had never changed a tire before so i got her behind the cracker wrench thingie and we cranked that puppy up

unfortunately we figured out that once we got it successfully off the ground that we had only taken the lugnuts off the rim and not the actual wheel… so we had to crank it down and with the help of our friend… Leroy ( name substituted for legal reasons… and the fact that we never got his name) helped us get the lug nuts off because even with my large bicep muscles i was unable to turn the lug nuts off .. poor Leroy has to use his 15 minute break to help us ladies…

now once the wheel was off we threw on that doughnut loud and proud as i yelled “ Roll’n on 10’s”

Funny enough when Idropped Jessi off at her car ( a very small great gas mileage car… ) I think her tires were as large as my doughnut… awesome!

Well that was my fun adventure of the day up here ay UGA…. man i can even rhyme at 11:11 at night

now i am off to downstairs so that i can study a bit more for my 2 midterms tomorrow.

Porterdale Mill Lofts.

The Lofts were made from an old cotton mill. Keith has been living in his one bedroom loft for a year now and when we got engaged we have been on the lookout for a 2 bedroom preferably on the river side.

Keith is on a rent to own plan where after 5 years he will have the opportunity to own his loft. Each month of his rent is going to pay a certain amount of the price of the loft. The problem with this is that many people are also doing this at the lofts and almost every place on the river was already being subleased, which meant that Keith and I had a very very very very very small chance of finding something that we liked… in our price range on the river

Well about three weeks ago while I was checking out the site I see this two bed room …. on the river… not subleased. Of course I call Keith right away and have him jump on calling the office about it. This place was going to go quickly. So… this Friday Keith and I will move all his stuff into our future home. Unfortunately I have to wait 8 months to really enjoy it on a daily basis, but Keith and I will have a while to create it into an awesome home for us. The crazy part is that i have only seen the loft by pictures. It was so necessary for us to jump on it that Keith toured it and sent me pictures and we just decided to go for it.

So we will be posting pictures of the move for sure!

So my mother is all upset with me because I am always dogging on her about updating her blog. She does a really good job … when i keep nagging her to do it! hahah

This week has been a week of recuperating. Last week i was up to my nose swimming in Finance. I made a 76 which .. i said i thought i should get a 75, so that made me happy. My teacher is crazy and your grade in the class is determined by how much better you do than the people around you. From looking at my percentile… I was 43% meaning that i beat out 57% of the class. So that at least makes me feel better and puts me in the B range for the class…

Next week i have 3 MIDTERMS.. ahhh

I have already been jumping on getting my study guides finished up and starting to study over the concepts.

So far my classes have been going well. I can not believe that next week we will already be at mid-terms AHHH. This semester is just flying right by rocking.

So early tomorrow morning Leo will leave and head on back to NYC. I had to say my goodbyes yesterday at Sixflags since I had to come back up to Athens for work.

Sixflags was AMAZING.

My family came to Passion since I was leading and even though the plan was to leave around 12:15, since it was Trace's last Sunday the service didn't get over until 12:40 AHHH...

To my super stressed-ness i was trying to rush around and get the family ready to leave. We arrived to Sixflags at 2 and decided we didn't need the WAY TOO EXPENSIVE flash pass. Lucky for us we didn't get it because the park was completely empty. We waiting for 25 min. for Superman and that was our longest wait. On Ninja and Screammachine you could just stay on the ride and go again because no one was in line behind you. SO what a perfect day for Leo to experience his FIRST roller coaster.

We took him on the Cyclone 1st... a little jerky but an easy starter. Then once he was warmed up... with ONE roller coaster under his belt we took him to Goliath. BUM BUM BUM... it was awesome and he loved it.

I think his favorite from the day was Batman. Since it had so many loops and turns.

We rode every ride ( with exception of Scorcher since it was closed, Acrophobia since it just hurts and Thunder river ) We did all this and then some twice in less that 5 hours. This is UNHEARD OF at Sixflags.

You don't get any more patriotic than Stone Mountain, so the sears crew + Tiffany and Eric brought Leo to see what the Laser Show had to offer!

We of course had to play on the green before the show.....

The lasershow has changed a bit this year. I was missing Midnight train to Georgia, but i was glad that Mambo #5 was finally off the list!

To end the night we ended up at IHOP where Leo enjoyed Syrup... he was about to use it on his omlete until i quickly told him it was for pancakes!

Last night Keith and I... on our date ... in Loganville. Checked out the local walmart. I think we were in there for 2 hours and someone this morning pointed out to me that we were like a married couple. AH.. soon to be... soon to be!

Phi Slam's Rusty Dusty Trash Jumpin Junkyard Bash

Phi slam is a pretty great thing. It is like non-alcholic parties to bring people together. I have been to a few last year since they are always in the same apartment complex that i live. Last year the number that confirmed was around 650. For this years first party 960+ had confirmed that they were coming and 800+ said they might come.

Since the theme was about trash i came up with an idea for a mechanic/trash outfit.

Well normally i wouldn't be going CRAZY for something that the FISH puts on, but i went last year and it is a free concert and it is pretty great...

but this year... KIDZ XPLOSION is going to be the main family event at the park. We will do a show at either 10,12,and 2 or 12,2,and 4

i can't remember which one,but it is an all day event and Keith and I will be out there dancing in our puppet costumes so if you get a chance come out and watch!

1st day of classes

Today i hit up UGA like a pro.

I have 5 classes... in a row... from 8-3:15

So out of the door at 7:20 with my backpack and a sack lunch i was off to north campus.

My 1st class is Ancient Isrealite Religion - the teacher is great and i am really glad i am taking this class and i think that i will learn some really fun stuff in it.

Then i am on to operations management. I sat in the backrow which is pretty normal for me,but this back row is only 5 rows back, but i couldn't even hear the professor... this class is going to be a bore-war!

Next i stroll on down to the SLC for finance. The teacher said he would destroy us if we cheated.. i was a little scared to tell you the truth, but like usual i sat in the back row of a HUGE 300 person classroom so i felt far enough away

Now back up the stairs of death to Human resource Management. This class is going to be awesome the teacher is really cool and has a crazy teaching style. There will be a lot of work but i think it will be worth it in the end.

Now off to my last class which started at 2 pm .. wow this day was long.. so that class was Leadership. Once again the teacher seems great. I am really looking forward to learning more about leadership so that i can be a better teacher for the kids.

So things on my first day were good. I GOT TO EAT HALF A SANDWHICH DURING MY LAST CLASS.

i think i may lose some weight this semester hehe.

ok i guess now that i have bored you and spent 250$ on books i better go cry! hahaha

So this Sunday at church a nice little surprise came my way!

So Keith did an AMAZING job picking out the ring. It is so beautiful and i just love it! Although Tiffany did not do a good job picking out the size hahaha, so sadly i had to give it up to Shane Co this afternoon to get it re-sized!

Just wanted to let everyone know that we are now home.
I can't believe how quickly the past 59 days have flown by.

today is an awesome day for me. One of my very first great friends, Sara, is getting married!
Sara and Casey are both so great and i am so happy for them. I was there for her during thier six flags disaster hahahahaha.
I am so happy that they are FINALLY getting married!!! Congratulations guys!

I am sitting here in our living room this morning just thinking about this past summer. I can not believe i have less than two days in this beautiful place. My heart is in a state of unknown. Normally when a student asks " will you be back next year" i can easily say " if not next summer then i will see you in two years".

Unfortunately this summer i can't really promise that to the students. I graduate in May and we all know what that means.. time for a BIG PERSON job. Obviously i am grateful to Todd who for the past 3 years has allowed me to take off for the summers to come here. I know that window of time isn't always going to be open for me. With the price of ticekts to get here it seems useless to come for just a short stay. well let's not say useless, but it just seems like there is no way i could get it all in in the time i would be here.

Today has been 8 weeks since we left the states. CRAZY

It is so crazy how time just flies by so quickly when i am here. Of course i am ready to get home to see my family and Keith and my friends .. .and also eat mexican food, but it is a really bittersweet feeling as i leave this place. I am asking for some major prayers on this issue. My heart is just so torn and i am not ready to say goodbye not knowing when i will return.

on a brighter note. Tonight we are having a going away party! I am hoping it will include 1.food 2. albanian dancing 3. soccer 4. good fellowship 5. lots of laughing 6. no crying haha

Last night we made our yearly visit to our 1st family friends in KS. The mother is a music teach and she has 3 awesome kids. Each and every year we go to their home and they welcome us with lots of great food. We always do our yearly pictures and just have fun laughing!

Now i have to finish my internship paper which is due tonight .

Back from camp.

i am so tired. I finally got a decent night of sleep last night just to realize that i have so many visits i want to do and that i have a paper to finish for school by tuesday. OHHH

Camp was great. well if you would of taken away the rain and made it a lot warmer it would of been perfect. It rained tuesday, wednesday, and thursday. We didn't get to go on the BIG HIKE and i am almost positive that is because my mom prayed against it for the 2nd year in the row.

My role at this camp was just behind the scenes. I helped Joanna out and was the media person. It was really tiring, but i played a lot of cards and got to hang out with some really awesome kids.

Some of the guys brought guitars and it was fun just sitting around and singing with them. I learned how to play " Apologize" so we were belting that all week. One of the guys Faton can sing some awesome spanish songs. It was great.

Dutch blitz is a staple in my life for sure. I am so happy that i learned it.

Anyways. camp was just a good time to get to hang with the students. We laughed A LOT and just enjoyed each others company.

Sometimes we are quick to blame the devil for things in our lives.

such as ... an example tonight.

All week i was at camp... working on the video that has to be finished by the morning. I left camp today half finished ( 2 songs) i knew the 3rd song would only take me a little bit to finish.

So i come home after our fun dinner out to find that my file had disappeared.

my first thought was.. its the devil

but then i thought to myself... i have had some trouble with Peace lately and feeling worried and things, so maybe this is just God revealing himself to me that he is my rock and my strength and when crazy things like this happen i dont need to stress or worry because he is in control Phillipians 4 has really been on my heart lately.

so anyways. i should be asleep because i have had no sleep this week, but i am ALMOST finished ... finished with what i lost that i had worked on all week. So in the next 30 min. i will be doing what i was supposed to be doing 2 hours ago.

We are leaving today for the university camp. I am a bit worried about the turn out, but all will be shown about noon today. As of Friday there were 32 on our list, by Saturday there were only 24 on our list. We are hoping that all those students come but we will see!

This weekend hasn't been too hectic preparing for the camps. We tried to get as much as we could done before the team got here. I already have most of the copies made so i would say that my stress level is at a low level. I don't know what it is about copies... when i arrive in KS i always let everyone know that I AM THE COPY GIRL... i need to just give this stressful role to someone else HAHAHHA.

Last Thursday was Laura's birthday and also our good friend Artan's. We went out to coffee to celebrate and that was really fun. Since we had been in Macedonia all day we didn't have a chance to bake her a cake, so Katie made her a coffee cake which we enjoied on Saturday.. a little late but that is ok!

Did i mention how great it is to have my neighbor Trent here. We prayed diligently that God would allow him to join us this year and i am glad we did. Besides the unending jokes about how UGA is inferior, i love having him here.

Remember that Katie, Laura and Trent will be staying down this week and chilling in Peja. I will be up at camp. I am a little stressed about getting to see all my friends when i will only have about 3 full days left after camp stuff. I know it will all work out ok though.

Tongiht we attended a super fun PARTY for one of the girls who is leaving here after a 2 year stay. Some folks here have an Irish and Scottish back ground so we had a little shin-dig called a céilí. First we has a pot-luck then some Keith games then the dancing began.

Once i steal katie's camera i will up load them. It was really fun getting to learn some new dances. I know know how to dance in 3 ways. Then we watched Chariots of fire. Fine until it got cold and i was tired and i was sitting on a bench.

Tomorrow we will head up to the camp site to have a team meeting before camp starts on monday. I will do a quick update with pictures before we leave on monday morning.

I only have 11 days left here i want to cry

Yesterday was a crazy day. By 10 in the evening i was so tired i didn't even want to move.

We woke up extra early to hit the Football ( Soccer) field with some friends to have a little game.

I found out that goalieing must run in my family because i was the bomb.com at being goalie. I was blocking those balls like a mad woman.

After the game we quickly headed back to the house to meet up with all the kids for our exscertion to EURO PARK. Which is an awesome pool that has diving boards, a slide, 2 huge pools and tons of other stuff.

After the pool on our way home and for the 2nd year in a row the bus broke down. I think it is a curse! hahah

But to pass the time waiting the boys decided to braid my hair haha

After a wait of about 30 min. we got on another bus which was PACKED full of kids and we all had to stand for a 30 min. bus ride.. but that is the adventures of this wonderful world.

When copies get you down

On saturday, as normal my task to get ready for our meeting was to get the certificates made for our award ceremony. Knowing that i normally have trouble Katie prayed that i would be calm and not stressed. I was very glad for that.

So my good friend Trimi and i set off to get these copies finished. We walked in to our normal spot which told us the machines had been down for 3 days and we needed to come back monday... too bad we needed them for that day. So we headed over to the old shop and their printers weren't connecting to the computers. Then to two more places who could only print in black and white and on this paper. ahhh

So Trimi and I head back to the first place just to print out on normal black and white since it is the cheapest there. After printing our 50 or so copies all the sudden the color printer is open and we can use it. So we start to print and every other one coming out got stuck. At this point it is 2:20 and the meeting starts at 3 ( note that all the copes must have students names written on them, signed by Rachael and Joanna and then stamped) so the guy at the shop tells us he will create the document in a new program.. so trimi and i are sitting there twiddling our thumbs watching the clock get closer and closer to three. So the guy finally finishes and at 3:05 a few minutes after i sent trimi with the first load i walk into the place we were having the awards ceremony. As i walk in rachael says to me " did you print out Outstanding Servant Leader " ( which please note is ONE copy) Of course i had forgotten in the rush of things. So i truck it back to the printer shop where they had already started another order and i had to wait 20 min. to use the machine for one copy. So i ended up getting back to the meeting at about 3:35 or so, but it was all worth it to see the guys face when he got the award.

After a long and not much sleep camp our team always goes out for a "surprise dinner" There really is only 1 place that is the surprise so since most of us were returning we all knew we were going to our favorite place Trofta. So we got all dressed up in our sunday best and headed off for a nice quite dinner.

Trofta, which means trout in albanian, in a cute restaurant in a town called Istog. They raise trout there and it is really the only good place here to get fish. Lucky for me i don't like fish anyway, but i know that Katie really enjoyed her first fish in a month and a half. I did get Fish soup, which surprisingly i love despite my strong dislike for fish.

Nina is from tenn and will be leaving out tomorrow and my wonderful Neighbor from back home Trent returned again for his third summer here. And everyone knows katie hehe

NOW... after some quite time we were all needing to let out a little.. i dont know.. frustration... anger... aggression... whatever you want to call it... so we headed across the street to an old favorite... BUMPER CARS. This is probably the only place here i have ever seen bumper cars, so it is awesome. I wouldn't say these are your Six Flags bumper cars either. They are alot less safe, a good bit faster and when you press the gas it tends to spark

oh my gooooooooodness

today i made 579 copies. Now by working at PureFUN! you would think .. 579 that is nothing... but normally i would do like 2000 of one document, today i copied 33 different documents, in English and in Albanian. KILL ME!!!

HAHAHA

but it was fun... they let me take over the computer at the shop and it kind of makes me feel powerful.

I was actually really stressed this morning, but as i was just zipping through the copies i knew it wasn't My strength that was getting me along and it was just a really great feeling.

Today we met up with some of our good guy friends and went to the local pool. You pay about $2.00 for a day of fun!

We played cards, took a few dives and laid out, laura and katie left a little early for visits and such, but i hung out for a few more hours and it was fun playing card games and just laughing with the guys. They are so funny and their ability to cheat at card games just crack me up. We played a card game where you have to spell DONKEY in albanian the first to spell it loses. I got really close to losing but luckily I was ok in the end.

This week has been absolutely great. We met with so many students and had great turn-outs to every event that we did. A huge blessing of course.

Here in Europe the " Euro Cup" Soccer tournament is HUGE. We have been watching it with our students the whole time. It has really been a great way to get to know each other and just have fun togehter. At the beginning, every team i picked seemed to lose. BUT i finally picked correctly 2 games ago and SPAIN... my team... won the whole thing.

Too bad Katie picked Germany... she was forced ( with her team) to eat a really gross banana, but i gladly topped it with whipped cream hahah.

As i write this i am surrounded by some of my favorite Albanian friends. They are over for the final night of the Euro Cup. Spain vs. Germany. Katie is for Germany, while Laura and I are rooooooting for Spain. As of right now Spain is winning so.. wahoooo

This weekend we had the pleasure to hangout with the sumemr workers from the capital city. I had such a good time showing them around MY CITY hahaha. We later took them to the mountains which are the best part about waking up in the morning here. We headed up to Guri I Kuq for lunch and a light hike... Laura and I would call this a Stroll or walk. If Wes were still here it would be a 1/10th hike... not a hike but a hike hike and a half hahahah.

It was a beautiful day today. I am going to go enjoy my friends now.

p.s. i finally got some sun today... if sunburn is called sun hahaha

i have been really bad at updating this week. My internet has been down for about two days and when it isn't down the connection is slower than a snail.

We are going up to Ragova today for some time in the beautiful mountains.

I am going to update about the week later tonight! i have lots of pictures i think hahaha
